Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a clinic-radiological diagnosis characterized
by seizures, headaches, lethargy, confusion, visual disturbances, and transient magnetic resonance
imaging changes in the posterior circulation distribution. Juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM) is
a rare but serious systemic autoimmune myopathy. We report a 17-year-old women with dermatomyositis
who developed PRES after usual intravenous methylprednisolone treatment. |
